Article I – Name
The name of this organization shall be the PCI Men’s Golf Association (PCIMGA).
Article II – Purpose
The purpose of the PCIMGA shall be to promote the fellowship, competition, and development of club interaction through such activities as are reasonably necessary to accomplish these objectives.
Article III ‑ Membership
All male members of Pass Christian Isle Golf club are eligible for active membership in the PCIMGA with full privileges thereof. An individual’s right to participate in activities of this organization may be terminated by a unanimous vote of the Officers for breach of any of the rules of conduct which the PCIMGA may or shall establish.
Article IV ‑ Dues
This organization shall assess and collect general membership dues from its members of $20.00 per year. Provided dues are for activity as defined by its members.
Article V ‑ Government
Section 1: The government of the PCIMGA shall be vested in a three Officers (President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer) elected by the PCIMGA membership.
Section 2: An election shall be held each year during the month of March for the officers of the PCIMGA.
Section 3: The meetings for PCIMGA will be held on a monthly basis. Dates for meeting will be managed by the officers of the MGA and published at the PCI club.
Section 4: The officers of the PCIMGA shall consist of a President, a Vice‑President, and a Secretary-Treasurer.
Section 5: The officers of the PCIMGA shall be elected as prescribed by these Bylaws and shall hold office until their successors are duly qualified and elected.
Section 6: Vacancies that occur when an officer is unable to serve out or complete a one-year term shall be filled by an election by the simple majority vote of members at the next meeting. Such elector shall be for a period of time until the next annual election of the PCIMGA organization.
Article VI ‑ Amendment
This constitution may be amended by a majority vote of the members voting at any regular or special meeting.
Article VII ‑ Duties of Officers
Section 1: The President, as chief executive officer of the organization, shall supervise the organization’s affairs and activities and shall make an annual report thereon to the members at the annual meeting of the organization.
Section 2: The Vice‑President shall preside at the meetings in the absence of the President. All meetings are open to the general membership. The Vice‑President shall also work with the President on such affairs of the organization as the President request.
Section 3: The Secretary-Treasurer shall give notice of all regular and special meetings and shall keep a permanent record of the minutes of such meetings. The Secretary shall handle and maintain files on all correspondence and official records and reports of the organization, including such items as the Constitution and Bylaws. The Secretary shall also be responsible for the timely forwarding of minutes of the meetings. The Secretary-Treasurer shall be responsible for, all of the financial records of the organization. The Treasurer shall disperse funds at the direction of the Officers as voted on the general membership of the PCIMGA and report in detail at the monthly meeting. All dispersal of funds will require at least two signatures from the officers of the PCIMGA. The treasurer shall observe that the funds of this organization are deposited only in National banks, State banks, or mutual savings banks which are members of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and operate in accordance with Federal laws and the laws of the state in which this organization does business.
Article VIII – Committees
Section 1: The Officers shall determine the committees deemed proper and necessary to fulfill the object and purpose of the organization.
Section 2: All committee chairpersons shall be approved by the general membership as proposed by the President with the advice of the other Officers of the PCIMGA.
Article IX ‑ Rules of Order
Robert’s Rules of Order shall govern the proceedings of all meetings of this organization and its’ constituent parts, except as provided in these Bylaws.
Article XI ‑ Acceptance
In order for this Constitution and Bylaws to be accepted, it will be necessary that the majority of the general membership present vote in favor of this Constitution and Bylaws. A quorum will consist of 10% of active members.
